Save Refugees' Iraq Projects- Computer Shipment was Shipped Through DHL to Amman, Jordan

Save Refugees and Global Fam shipped computers to Amman, Jordan to be used for the educational center for Iraqi refugees. With a network of Iraqi professionals and other NGO'S in place in Jordan, we were able to raise money from supportive individuals to cover crating and shipping costs.  The classes and computer lab are aimed at serving to educate the general Iraqi refugee community, with specific offerings for young people.  8 laptops and 1 desktop were collected from US donors and arrived in Amman, Jordan in January.  A special thanks goes to DHL Global Forwarding for transportation and aiding the customs proces.  Also to Industrial Craters for packing and crating the computers to survive the long journey.  Desks and chairs were also able to be purchused to furnish the center because of private donors.  The center offers educational oppurtunities to the greater Iraqi community now living displaced in Jordan. Hayder Has Been Denied a US Visa to Come to Boston for Free Medical Treatment!!!

Hayder is a four year old from Baghdad. He was burned 2 years ago in an explosion when he was in the street with his uncle while some resisters attacked the US troops in that area. His family came to Jordan 6 months ago trying to find him help from any organization, but no one really helped.  Save Refugees  got agreement from Shriners Children Hospital to treat him for free. All needed sponsorship and money was arranged when we recieved the news that he was denied a US Visa. The only remaining option for Hayder is donations to pay for lesser treatment in Jordan. Please support Hayder and Save Refugees Projects.
